Educating and Empowering the Next Generation

Educating and Empowering the Next Generation

Let's partner together to explore how you and your family can create generational wealth.

What We Do and Who We Work With

There is an obvious wealth gap in our country, with frustration and anger aimed at the fact that the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. There are factors that are beyond our control and there are factors that are very much within our control. If your goals include strengthening your financial legacy for you and your family, creating and sustaining an informed and empowered money mindset across this generation and the next, and collaborating with a trusted financial professional to achieve these goals, then you have landed in the right place.

My team and I are passionate about teaching financial and investment concepts, improving client outcomes using behavioral finance principles and leading you and your family towards wealth-building practices that will carry on. Whether you’re an early investor or a seasoned wealth-builder, clients from all walks of life have come to rely on our team for guidance.

Here are the most common money mistakes I see. If you see yourself in one or more of these categories, reach out to me: Schedule 15 minutes

  • Inheritances typically last less than 10 years. Beneficiaries of lump sums of money don't know where to begin and aren't sure of the many options facing them. Lump sums of money can include divorce/property settlement, punitive damages, receipt of a gift or inheritance, sale of a home, etc. Having a conversation with a trusted financial professional can alleviate the pain of an incorrect decision.
  • 25-45 year old wage earners typically don't start early enough with funding retirement and protecting themselves in a future that looks very different than present day. As a result, it becomes increasingly difficult and limiting to meet that goal, and is sometimes impossible. Nothing pains me more than having to tell someone who has come to me for help that it's too late; I cannot help them meet their goal in the timeline that they were hoping for. If you are a 25-45 year old and you haven't sat down with a financial professional to outline a strategy for yourself, book a call with me today. Time waits for no one.
  • Many wage earners I speak to have no idea how much they are deferring into their employer-sponsored plan, how much they have accumulated, or how much is needed to have a comfortable retirement. Little is known about how the employer-sponsored plan works, why it is important to contribute and how not knowing these things can impact your financial future. Topics such as vesting schedules, profit sharing and matching are a foreign language to most employees. If you are participating in an employer sponsored plan and would like education (not advice) on how your company plan works, book a call with me. If you are an employer and would like to have a conversation with a financial professional about benchmarking your plan and/or educating your workforce, reach out to schedule a consultation.
  • Pre-retirees and retirees often have unanswered, nagging concerns about outliving their assets, experiencing a long-term care event and effectively passing assets to the next generation. This is a phase of life that demands a keen eye and collaborative partnerships that go beyond the 'check a box' annual review of your current plan. Book a meeting with me to find out how and why my team and I approach this phase-of- life- planning completely different than other advisors and planners.
  • To create generational wealth, there needs to be a plan. I often see family members not facing difficult topics  such as aging and death with one another. This can lead to shock, surprise and downright chaos during a time when there is likely a good amount of stress and grief already. These types of decisions need to be planned, understood and shared amongst all stakeholders involved before the event happens. Contact me to schedule a family meeting to set the necessary parameters to avoid this issue.
  • And lastly, a 'do it yourself financial strategy'. Piecing together bits of information from the internet, friends, family members, co-workers and past experiences to formulate answers to difficult questions can be really tricky, especially when emotion is involved (and it usually is). Unless one has specialized training, knowledge or the guidance of a financial professional, this approach often leads to costly mistakes

* All investing involves risk including loss of principal. No strategy assures success or protects against loss. There is no guarantee that a diversified portfolio will enhance overall returns or outperform a non-diversified portfolio. Diversification does not protect against market risk.
